About Frankly Frugal
My name is Kipp and I was born and raised in Michigan. I have lived in Michigan my entire life and I choose to continue to do so as I am close to both my family and my wife’s family. The reason for my desire to be with those I care about is the main reason as to why I seek financial independence.
I began my journey towards financial freedom back in 2013 after stumbling upon the idea of financial independence. Although, I have made some financial mistakes in the past, mostly because I wasn’t prepared for emergencies, I am working on turning my financial life around and investing and saving to reach financial independence in my 40’s.
To me, the road to financial independence is not about sacrifice. To me the sacrifice would be to wake up 58 years old and I say I don’t want to work anymore and not be able to do anything about it. Life is too short to be worrying about acquiring a bunch of stuff today. I value my time much more than a boat or a SUV. That is why I am continuing to search for new ways to be frugal or new ways to make money.
I write here on my blog not only to keep myself accountable in my journey, but also to hopefully inspire you as a reader to find a better way of doing things and to enjoy the most out of your life.
Welcome to blogland! Good luck with your personal finance goals.
Regards,
Dear Dividend
